Slotted Sleeve with Underlay

This tutorial shows you how to easily design a slotted seam in the center of a sleeve with a hidden underlay of contrasting fabric. It is so simple with My Sloper! Read on to find out how.

Designing a Slotted Seam

Enter a seam allowance for the Sleeve Center. The amount you need is dependent on the width of the underlay (underlying contrasting fabric) that you want to use. In the sample pattern we chose a standard 5/8-in ribbon, which is 16-mm. But you can choose any width you desire as long as the width of the underlay and the center sleeve seam allowance match.
